You have no legal recourse if they decide to walk away from the job with your money. They could not only leave your house unfinished, but they could leave your home and its contents exposed to water damage caused by rain.

They carry no liability so that damage coming from a problem that they caused is not covered.

They carry no workman's compensation. If they get hurt on your job, they can sue you for damages-and then walk away from your job uncompleted.

For homes of 35sq and less, you can count on around 4 working days. Will a second layer of shingles help to insulate my roof better?

There is little to no insulation or R-value gained through the shingles. They are decorative, protective, and durable.

Do you clean up after you re-roof our home?

We try to keep a clean work environment. We will tidy up at the end of every day and keep the trash to a minimum with on-site dumpsters and running magnets through the yard to try to pick up as many nails as possible. However, no matter how hard we try, we cannot find every nail or piece of shingle that lands in your yard or into your flowerbeds. If you would like, we can leave a magnet for you to use for a few days after we finish the job.

Will I have a dumpster in my driveway for an extended period of time?

No. We use dump trailers that can be moved by our foreman. These dump trailers have rubber tires and do not leak any type of oil, so that placing them on your driveway will not cause a problem. We would like to leave them there during the period of the job, but if need be, we can pick up the trailer every night and bring it back the next day.

Do I need to be home during the roofing process?

No. There is no reason for us to gain access to the inside of your home. We will need access to a power outlet for our power tools. But there is not a problem if you would like to observe the process. Real time feed back is a definite plus.

Should I move things away from my home?

Yes. We ask for an empty driveway for our dump trailer and the shingle delivery truck. We also would ask that boats, ATV's, tables, flower pots, etc, that you do not want damaged, be moved away from the home.

Are my plants and landscaping safe?

I cannot guarantee that they will not receive some type of damage but we do try to tarp them if we believe that a lot of material will fall on them. You will undoubtedly find parts of your old shingles for months after your roof is completed, but we try our best to get them all.

Will pictures fall off of my walls during the tear-off?

It is probably safer to take down certain items hanging on the walls down. Tearing shingles off of a roof is a very loud, violent action. Especially in a manufactured home it would be better taking down pictures, etc.

What is the warranty on the shingles?

The standard shingle warranty for the standard dimensional shingles is a pro-rated, 30-year warranty. But this does not include hurricane damage. Also, Florida is a very harsh environment for shingles. I would say if your dimensional shingle roof has lasted 15 to 18 years, you have gotten your money's worth.

What is the warranty on the color on a metal roof?

There are two different color processes for metal roofs. One is a Kynar 500/Hylar 5000. This is the paint process that has proven itself to last the longest. It has a 30-year guarantee. The other color process apparently lasts for only a few years. Be careful to choose the Kynar500/Hylar 5000

We do shingle roofs, metal roofs, tile roofs, flat roofs, new roof construction, and repairs to all types of roofs.

Do I need to remove my gutters for you to tear off the roof?

Does your company do guttering, siding, or soffit and fascia?

We will do this type of work if it is a repair and a part of a tear-off of the roof. However, we do not contract these specific items by themselves.
